In the Chunawadh police station area of the district, a girl who had a love marriage about a year ago, died on Saturday night after consuming poison. The girl's father lodged a case in this regard at the Chunadh police station on Sunday. In this, the in-laws have been accused of killing the girl by giving her poison. Police is still probing the matter.

The deceased girl Sonia and youth Rajan lived in the same locality in ward two of Chunawad. About a year ago, love started blossoming between them. In such a situation, both of them got married against the wishes of the family. Initially, Sonia and Rajan started living separately from the family in Padmapur. Later he started living in Chunawad itself. Recently, on June 20, for some reason, the girl drank poison. He was initially admitted to Padampur and then to PBM Hospital in Bikaner. He died in the hospital on Saturday night.
Father kept circling from one police station to another
When Vinod Kumar, the girl's father, reached the Chunawadh police station to register a case in this regard, he sent her there, citing the case of the girl being admitted to Padampur. At the same time, Padampur SHO did not register the case stating that the case was of Chunawad. Despite the incident on Saturday night, the case could not be registered till Sunday afternoon.
In this case, Chunawad SHO Parameshwara Suthar told that the girl's father had earlier talked about consuming poison in Padampur. On this he was sent to Padampur. Later a case was registered in Chunawad. He said that the girl's father has lodged a case against the youth Rajan, her mother Kamaljeet, sister-in-law Palak and brother-in-law Sajan alleging that she harassed him for dowry and forcibly administered insecticide. An investigation is going on in this regard.
