UN Chief calls for decisive action to end war on nature
Outlining his priorities for the year, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres called for game-changing climate action, including adequate financing, to urgently cut greenhouse gas emissions and achieve climate justice. “No more excuses. No more greenwashing. No more bottomless greed of the fossil fuel industry and its enablers,” he said in his remarks to the United Nations General Assembly, adding that “climate action is the 21st century’s greatest opportunity to drive forward all the Sustainable Development Goals.”
