Angry over not being adjusted in government service, Panchayat assistants demonstrated at the Collectorate on Thursday and submitted a memorandum to the Collector in the name of the Chief Minister.
According to the budget announcement, the government has made the Contract Service Rules-2022, but till now the contractual workers have not been accommodated in it. Due to this, once again Vidyarthi Mitra Panchayat Sahayak Sangh has started on the path of movement. On the call of the state executive, a memorandum was submitted to the collector in the name of the Chief Minister in Gandhian manner at the district headquarters on Thursday under the banner of Rajasthan Vidyarthi Mitra Panchayat Sahayak Sangh.
Sangh's district president Chandrapal Singh Bhati said that the Congress government had promised to regularize the contract workers in its manifesto. Taking this process forward, the government made the Contract Service Rules-2022. The Directorate of Education, Bikaner made a proposal on May 13 and sent it to the government to put Panchayat assistants in the process of adoption. The panchayat assistants staged several sit-ins in Jaipur from the district headquarters demanding regularization.
Will protest in Jaipur if the demands are not accepted
In the 76-day-long sit-in demonstration at the Shaheed Memorial in Jaipur, the government had said in the agreement that soon the way for regularization was to be paved by adopting the service rules. If the government does not start the process by July 31, then there will be protests across the state. After this, an indefinite strike-demonstration will be started in the capital Jaipur from August 15. First Vidyarthi Mitra as a contract for 15 years and now about 27 thousand personnel working on the post of Panchayat Assistant for the last 5 years are waiting to be accommodated in government service.
Proposal to set up in government schools
District coordinator Uday Singh Deora, who is handling the work, said that these Panchayat assistants are the same ones, who were working as student friends for 13 years before this, but when there was a protest, it was decided to make about 27 thousand people as Panchayat assistants. Now a proposal has been prepared to put 23 thousand contractual workers from student friend to panchayat assistant in government schools and sent it on May 13.
