For admission in government and private colleges of Rajasthan, students will now be able to apply till July 16. After the CBSE 12th result was not declared, the Higher Education Department decided to extend the last date of application. Dr. KL Siradhana, Joint Director of College Education Academics said that earlier the last date of application was fixed as July 9. But the date of application has been extended as the result of CBSE Board is not released.

Actually, the process of admission in undergraduate courses was started in Rajasthan University from June 27 to July 9. Under which five lakh 8000 students in more than 450 government colleges in Rajasthan, while 8 lakh students in more than 2000 private colleges could apply for admission. But due to non-availability of CBSE results, till now only RBSE students were able to apply for admission. In such a situation, now the Higher Education Department has given a big relief to the students of CBSE.

Major Changes in Colleges Admission Policy

  • This year also admission in colleges in Rajasthan will be based on the percentage of class 12th, not the percentile formula.
  • 3% seats were reserved for wards of employees of the Indian Army, Central Armed Forces and ex-servicemen for admission to the college. In these, now the children of Rajasthan Police personnel will also get a place.
  • Students whose parents have died due to Karena. They will be given free admission on the basis of minimum marks. Along with this, they will also get free hostel facility.
  • Students will get 3% bonus as before for girl students in co-education colleges. Online studies will also continue during this period.
  • For admission in the college of the state, admission will be done only after getting at least 45% marks in arts, commerce and at least 48% in 12th in science.
  • Foreign children originally residing in India will also be given admission in the state college. Whereas originally foreign students will not be able to get admission this time.
  • According to the rules of UGC which college is not honorable for online education. On the basis of their degrees also, admission will not be given in the college of Rajasthan.
