- There Was An Account Officer In Ajmer Discom, Had Committed Embezzlement Of 2.5 Crores, Admitted Guilty In The Investigation

Annapurna Sen, the account officer who had embezzled Rs 2 crore 21 lakh 43 thousand 763 in Ajmer discom, has been sacked by the management. This embezzlement lasted for 19 months (from April 2017 to October 2018), 4 years after the case was opened, it has been decided. The case was first investigated by discom officers and later retired IAS KN Gupta. After Gupta's report came, Annapurna Sen was given an opportunity of hearing by the discom management on 27 June 2022, on 13 July it was sacked. At present, Annapurna Sen was giving presence in SE Office, Nagaur, she was getting a living allowance of Rs 26 thousand 448 per month.

- Embezzlement of 1 crore, 79 lakh 80 thousand 208 rupees from March 2017 to June 2018 as Accounts Officer at Discom Headquarters Panchsheel.
- Embezzlement of 41 lakh 63 thousand 555 rupees from July 2018 to October 2018 in Hathibhata Power House of Discom while being the Accounts Officer.
- The discom lodged the FIR on 17 December 2018. After about 90 days of absconding, Annapurna and outside partner Amit were pressed on 15 March 2019.

- On 23 November 2020, while being suspended in Nagaur, gave attendance, getting a discharge allowance of Rs 26,448 per month.

- Annapurna Sen was heard by MD NS Nirvana on 27 June 2022.

Embezzlement game: Transferring discom money to private accounts in the name of salary
Annapurna Sen first won the trust of her officers and employees. It had the task of depositing the salary of officers and employees in the SBI Bank at the Discom Headquarters and Hathibhata Power House. Sen used to enter the number of accounts of his father, relatives and acquaintances in the list of amount to be sent to the accounts of officers and employees, which kept getting deposited in his account as salary. The police had checked about 65 accounts.

Annapurna got the job in 2012 from the abandoned quota. In a competition in 2017, Mrs. Rajasthan was also made. The living conditions were high profile. Used to organize parties in hotels, in which discom officers and employees were involved. Annapurna had also transferred money to the account of a professional radio jockey. While in the job, Sen had also opened a salon in partnership with a retired employee.

NL Rathi, Secretary, Ajmer Discom said that Annapurna Sen has been found guilty in the investigation report. After the hearing, the discom has dismissed them from their jobs. Its orders have been issued.
