IND vs PAK: Avesh Khan To Miss India vs Pakistan Game? Rahul Dravid Provides Big Update Ahead Of High-profile Asia Cup 2022 Clash

India National Cricket Team head coach Rahul Dravid has provided a major update on the fitness of the 25-year-old Madhya Pradesh right-arm pacer Avesh Khan ahead of the blockbuster Asia Cup 2022 clash between arch-rivals, India National Cricket Team and Pakistan National Cricket Team.

Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team are set to lock horns with Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In the group stage game between the teams, the Men In Blue defeated the Men In Green by 5 wickets.

At a pre-match press conference ahead of the India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 stage clash, Dravid talked about Avesh Khan and said that the 25-year-old is feeling a bit unwell.
Avesh has just been feeling a little bit unwell, just been under the weather and a bit of fever and stuff. We have got a doctor who is managing him. He is not at practice today, hopefully, it is not too serious and he is okay for tomorrow, at least the later part of the tournament,” Dravid said during a press conference.

When asked about his conversations with Kohli, Team India head coach Dravid said that he won’t disclose the personal talks with the former India skipper.
“First thing, the talks that happen between the coach and player, I would not come and disclose that in the media. No coach will reveal the personal talks,” he said, before giving the conversation a lighter turn.

“We were also talking about the food and where you can get good in Dubai, he knows a lot about good restaurants,” he said with a little laugh.

Rahul Dravid further talked about Virat Kohli’s break of over a month, which he took ahead of the Asia Cup, and his performance against the Hong Kong National Cricket Team. Notably, the former India National Cricket Team skipper scored good 59 runs off 44 balls, including 1 four and 3 sixes, against the Nizakat Khan-led side.
“He played very well in the last match, we all were happy. He is coming back after a gap of one month. It is nice to see that he has come back fresh and he is really looking forward to playing the game, not that he was not looking to play the game before,” Dravid said.

“Virat is one of those guys who is always on. It is nice, I am glad that he has had that break and he has come back fresh and relaxed. He has gotten a chance to play in the middle and play a couple of games where he has got to spend some time in the middle and hopefully from here on, he can kick on and have a really good tournament,” he added.
