Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Khiladi Lal Bairwa took a meeting of officials

Scheduled Caste Commission President Khiladi Lal Bairwa reached Kota on Thursday. In the Collectorate here, he took a meeting of officers in which police and administration officials were present. In the meeting, Bairwa reviewed the implementation of the instructions given after the meeting held in April. Bairwa told the officers in the meeting that efforts should be made to bring down the atrocities on Dalits that the statements of witnesses under the Act should be before the magistrate.

The witnesses did not change their statements. In such cases the guilty should be punished. The investigating DSP knows whether the case is true or false. Sometimes the matter is right, but under pressure, the complainant settles. The authorities should keep that situation in mind. The police should present all the facts of the investigation in the court. Only then there will be a reduction in Dalit atrocities and a clear image of the police will be created.

He said that encroachment should be removed from the encroachments on SC ST lands. Action should be taken against encroachers and landless Dalits should be allotted land. Bairwa told the officers that there is a need for the officers to change their mindset in dealing with Dalit atrocities.

At the same time, he directed that the officials should conduct surprise checks on the hostels built for SC/ST. He said that publicity should also be spread about the cover assistance in Chiranjeevi Yojana. Along with this, taking information about the schemes being run for SC/ST, he gave instructions for monitoring them.
