On behalf of the Department of Skill, Planning and Entrepreneurship, a function was held in Jaipur on World Youth Skill Day on Friday. Minister of State Ashok Chandna, Government Secretary Skill, Planning and Entrepreneurship Department, Dr. Aarushi Malik were present in the state level program in the auditorium of Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute located on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg.

Skill icons, skill ambassadors, youth icons, brand ambassadors, winners of skill competitions and skill-trained and self-employed persons with disabilities, women and 97 people from the corporation were honored in the ceremony. Under this program Kali Gurjar, daughter of Parla Gram Panchayat of Ahmedganj village of Tonk district was honored with Youth Icon Award. Under this award, Rs 11,000, trophy and certificate were given from the state government.

Made possible by Manzil team: Award winning Kali Gurjar gave credit to Manzil team. Said that the team came to my village and told me about the scheme and got me enrolled in the skill course. Got me a job in a good company. Manzil is a five year project. Which is implemented by IPE Global. The objective of the Manzil project is to provide vocational education and employment opportunities to young and adolescent girls. This in turn will help them become financially independent.

Kali Gurjar said- I want to thank the Rajasthan government very much, who has brought this scheme for children like me. Today I can take my own decisions and share in the responsibilities of my family.
