In Jhunjhunu, Gram Panchayat assistants protested on the demand of regularization. A rally was taken out from the martyr memorial to the collectorate. They raised slogans on the collectorate and demanded fulfillment of the promises made in the manifesto. A letter was also handed over to the collector in the name of the Chief Minister.
District President Sanjay Hansasar told that the Congress government had promised to regularize the panchayat assistants in the manifesto. The government made the Contract Service Rules 2022 and to put the Gram Panchayat Assistant in the process of adoption, the Directorate of Education, Bikaner made a proposal and sent it to the government. The regularization date has also passed. But so far the government has not taken any action on that proposal.
There is anger among the Gram Panchayat assistants regarding this. In the past, student friends did teaching work for 6 years in the education department and are currently improving the level of education in Rajasthan by working under PEEO in gram panchayat assistant schools. Keeping in view the sentiments of 27000 gram panchayat assistants, the government should adopt and regularize gram panchayat assistants under contractual service rules in the month of July. Apart from this, this process should be completed in the month of July itself by including the Gram Panchayat assistants affected by the municipality in the service rules. Warned of agitation if the demand is not met.
