The accused of kidnapping and raping a minor girl in Karauli has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by the Karauli POCSO Court. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand on the accused.
POCSO Court Special Public Prosecutor Mahendra Mudgal said that in the FIR lodged at Sapotra police station, the victim had told that on January 29, 2021, Muniraj alias Dhaiya son Dhanful Meena resident of Talabka police station Sapotra had taken her forcibly from home at 12 o'clock in the night on his bike. Thereafter the accused forcibly raped her.
After registering the case, the police handcuffed the girl and arrested the accused. After which the police presented the challan in the court. POCSO Court Special Judge Alka Bansal heard the arguments of both the parties on the basis of 23 witnesses and 60 documents. After the arguments, the court on Monday convicted the accused Muniraj alias Dhaiya resident of Talabka police station Sapotra guilty. The court punished the accused with rigorous imprisonment of 20 years and a total fine of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand.
